Calvin Lester is the creator of Bird Call and performs Luckl-Duckl Bird and Bingo Flamingo. He has been a professional puppeteer for years, working with notable companies including The Muppets and Disney. He’s performed in various live productions including: “The Muppets Present Great Moments in History”, “Festival of the Lion King”, and “Bear in the Big Blue House”. In addition, he has trained puppeteers in world class productions for Disney Cruise Lines, Disney Parks, Sea World, and many more. Other works include “Jane Henson’s Nativity Story”, Woof Chat News, 9 Years to Neptune, and Blippi’s Treehouse.

Kelsey Brady performs Francise, Ki Ki Kookabura, and Grizzle. Kelsey is a producer and creative director for the series. She got her start in puppeteering at the Disney Parks with “The Muppets present Great Moments in History” and “Voyage of the Little Mermaid”. She also puppeteered at Universal Studios with “The Secret Life of Pets” for Universal’s Superstar Pararde. Her most recent projects include Blippi’s Treehouse on Amazon Kids+ as Scratch and Mystery Science Theater 3000 Season 13 as Crow T. Robot. Kelsey is also known for her 1+ million followers on TikTok under @OneBradyLady featuring herself and original puppets Stan, Biscuit, and Fig.

Scott Huhn performs Fowl Owl and Clifford Magpie. He not only performs but designs and builds puppets for Bird Call. He also builds on outside projects with veteran Muppeteer John Kennedy (Sesame Street). Scott has performed in “The Muppets present Great Moments in History”, Sesame Street’s 4D Movie Magic, and Woof Chat News. Scott is a Puppet Specialist for Walt Disney World with “Finding Nemo and the Musical” and “Festival of the Lion King”. He also is on the creative team with Orlando’s Modern Theatricals for productions such as “Dragons & Fairies” and “Lost Boy”.

Chris Faulkenberry performs Kesmoe and Buzzard Beak. Christopher joined Bird Call in 2012 as a puppet builder and in 2016 a performer. Christopher explored puppetry at the age of 13 volunteering at the ministry puppet team at Glenn Haven Baptist in Decatur, Georgia. In 2004, while pursing his Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art at the University of Georgia, he became Assistant Puppet Director at First Baptist Church of Winder in Winder Georgia. Since 2006, Christopher has been a performer for Walt Disney World. He has performed in several shows and experiences across the four parks such as “Disney Junior Live on Stage” and “The Muppets Present Great Moments in American History”. Christopher also works seasonally with Universal Studios Orlando as a puppeteer for their Halloween Horror Nights event. Christopher is also known for his original TikTok characters Waffles, Gerald the Rat, Scraps, and Avocado.

Shane McNeal performs Koo Foo, Ruffleton, and Henry the Cat. Shane has spent three years studying puppetry and puppet performance in the world renowned Puppet Arts Program at the University of Connecticut, and has created several original shows for young audiences. Shane’s works include: Boston Pops in Puppets Take the Pops!, commercial work for Bob’s Discount Furniture, and participating the 2017 Sesame Workshop puppetry workshop. Shane is currently a puppeteer for the Walt Disney World Parks. He also carries an online presence on his TikTok with original puppet characters Victor, Pippi, Ollie, Darwin, and Atlee.

Peter Heid portrays our resident human Wally Zutman! He is a transplant from Wisconsin and has been an actor for Walt Disney World with “The Muppets present Great Moments in History” and at Universal Orlando with “The Blues Brothers” and “Poseidon’s Fury”.

His works include Psycho Mode and Bitch, Perfect! at the 2017 Orlando Fringe Festival and Jesus Christ Superstar at the Garden Theatre.

Luke Gerdes performs Mr. Sampy Chicker and Pinky the Worm. Luke joined the team in 2010 as an ensemble/swing puppeteer and onto the featured role of Mr. Chicker. Luke also directed the first iteration of Bird Call the Musical in 2014. Luke has performed in over 20 different mainstage productions including “Wilder’s Our Town”, “Beckett’s Waiting For Godot”, Williams’ “The Glass Menagerie”, and Shaw’s Candida (of which he was nominated for an KCACTF Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship Award) at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, IL. After graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2004, Luke became employed by the Walt Disney World Resort as an entertainer/performer. In his 15 plus years with the company Luke as performed in multiple parades, stage shows, television appearances, and other featured roles across the entire Resort property and across the nation for Disney.

Tyler Campbell performs Speck, Poe Raven, and Murray Feathertwig. Tyler started performing at the age of 13 with his church puppet group in Illinois. He has cultivated a deep love of the arts and all the facets of theater while in college. He has been working as a puppeteer for Walt Disney World since 2015 in a variety of shows on property; “Festival of the Lion King”, “Voyage of the Little Mermaid”, and “The Muppets present Great Moments in History”. In 2016, he was contacted to become a puppeteer assist in the Bird Call the Musical production and has been a part of Bird Call ever since.

Josh Ball performs Dillon Quailstein and Fulton MaCaw. Josh is also a choreographer for Bird Call the Musical and has had the pleasure of being the central puppet assist and other featured characters throughout the Bird Call series. Other credits include: Tin Man in “The Wizard of Oz” tour along with various shows across the Walt Disney World property: Hocus Pocus Villains Spelltaular, Disney Junior Live on Stage, “The Muppets present Great Moments in History”, and “Festival of the Lion King”.
